Movie Skip

Movie skip, also known as Money skip, is an alternative to Honey skip that is often faster for beginners. Due to aspect ratio differences across the Wii/GCN version and 3DAS version of the game, the visual cues will be a tad different; however, the start of the trick is identical.

  • Spray the m
  • Sidestep off the ledge, then hold towards the ledge as Mario starts to freefall
  • Grab the ledge, zoom the camera all the way in, then center the camera
  • Adjust Mario so his Z position is between range of -6266.60 (furthest left) and -6276.55 (furthest right, unfortunately 3DAS players have no way of seeing this metric at this time)

HUD Line-Up

Wii/GCN Visual Cues

  • Line up the X button from fludd with the corner of the square on the right portion of the raised roof.
  • OR line up the corner of the M Graffiti wall with the left side of the coin counter
  • Climb up and jumpdive with neutral analog stick
  • Savewarp with the blue coin textbox

Left-most position

Right-most position

3DAS Visual Cues

  • Line up the transition line between the dark part of the wall and the light part of the wall between the stick-out portion of the Q in Acqua
  • OR line up the corner of the M Graffiti wall to be slightly right of the top part of the left 0 in the coin counter
  • Climb up and jumpdive with neutral analog stick
  • Savewarp with the blue coin textbox
